Its great to be back !
Many thanks and blessings to Sarah and Nikki for their wonderful classes over the last 3 months.
After 3 months of teaching and intense practice in Berlin, I am very excited to be back in Sydney, and look forward to sharing my latest insights with you on the mat.
“Now the practice of yoga begins (Atha yoga anushasanam).” Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, 1.1
Yoga is in the here and now. The practice of yoga begins from the present moment, no matter the current state of your mind or physical body. Your mind may be calm, or may be busy and full of thoughts. Your body may be healthy, or you may be feeling weak and unprepared. Do not judge yourself, yoga is always ready for you !!
The best time to (re-)start your yoga practice is now !
Have you perhaps taken a break from your practice, and finding it difficult to get back into a regular practice. The secret to a regular practice is to create and grow a nourishing practice, one that challenges you to move out of your comfort zone, but at the same time, is safe and energising for your body and mind. Why not break the winter spell and focus on the upcoming spring ? … join me for a dynamic, energising class in Erskineville Monday 9 September at 7:30pm… what better way to start the week, the time for yoga is here and now !!!
Namaste
Chris
“There is no power greater than right action in the present moment.”

* No class on 25 April (Anzac day)

As part of my continuing yoga training I will be heading off to New York to do the intensive Jivamukti teacher training this week! I will be back in Sydney at the end of May.
The fabulous yoga teacher Rebecca Shaw will be taking the Yoga on Rochford classes as from next week (Mon 26 April) until Mon 24th May. Here’s some information about Bec and her teaching:
Rebecca has been practicing yoga since 1997 and has a genuine love and desire to share the benefits with all. She understands that every body and every day is unique and believes yoga is about contentment, non-violence and truth – to ourselves and others. Itʼs about engaging with the spirit within you and goes well beyond what we do on the mat.
She believes anyone can do yoga and teaches with understanding and compassion, instilling respect for your body and calming the mind. Her classes are designed to invigorate and challenge, allowing you to discover your own potential, through a dynamic Hatha style.
